The board met via Skype to discuss some direction for the solo season. We want to let you all know that we’re taking everything as it comes. As of right now, we have cancelled the first event and the test and tune which were to be held on May 2nd and 3rd.
As for the events moving forward, we have talked to AJ (our contact at the speedway) and have talked about make up dates for when the pandemic is under control and the “Stay at home” order is lifted. We are planning and working towards still making sure that we get the absolute most out of our 2020 season.
We plan on sitting on event dates until 2 or 3 weeks before they happen. As in this current climate, a few days can alter a lot in what is happening. So we will not announce large cancellations at once. They will come as the events near and we understand if we will be authorized to hold that particular event.
If you do not have a helmet, get one. Even if this is the “racepocolypse” it will absolutely be good to have in the seasons to come.
Our inboxes are always ready for questions, and I hope all of you know I’m here to help clarify anything that is on your mind. We have to abide by local and state government rules, and we always abide by SCCA Safety Standards. Suggestions are always welcome. Do not be discouraged to ask we’re all looking for the ability to get in our cars ASAP.
In the mean time stand ready. Because when we do drop that checkered flag, it’s going to be one hell of a party!
Stay safe and well my friends, can’t wait to be back in grid with you all.
